Hd Help Bad!!!!!!!

Alright guys I need some HD help BIG TIME!!!!!! My friend bought a 300gig Maxtor IDE drive to use as a Slave drive.

Here is what he did via AIM convo

You don't format a drive with backup files on it... Um... Well, I have heard of software that can apparnetly undo a format. Maybe someone here knows of some decent software because I've yet to find any.
 
well. at the time it sounded like everything was gone anyways, so i just clicked format.

There should be a way to get it back... i hope :(
 
Wait, you said it was a SLAVE??? You backed up everything on your master to you slave, you can just use you master and then move all the files back to the slave again. If you did something i don't know about then please keep me informed.
 
anyone on that can help me?!?!?

I got most of my stuff back with GETDATABACK...

but now half the files will not work? WTF IS GOING ON!

Like we said, use the master hard drive and then just transfer everything to the new drive. The master still has all the info on it right? Here's a little guess, maybe if you right click on the master drive and select copy and then right click on the slave driver and select past it will copy.......
 
If you deleted all the master files on your 80 then you might be tough out of luck when it come to recovering the files from the original drive. Then if you reformatted the drive you copied them to, it's probably safe to say the files are all gone. All in all it looks like a great opportunity to start from scratch and you learned something in the process.
