my HD for some reason every time it keeps on spinning up then after few seconds does it again its really annoying, i dont know whats up with it its not my C drive its one of my other drives il find out what one, what can i do

Are you accessing data from the drive? If there are files that are on the drive then it will spin up when you try to access them or just to look at the contents of that drive/folder.

i see your using Vista mate

only in vista it does that all the time on my rig,Exept i only have 1 drive.

i dont know why it does it,It doesnt do it on Xp.

Try turning off the indexing service.

Right-click taskbar > task manager > services > services... > Windows Search > stop and set to disabled.

It keeps track of everything and records it, hogging all your resources, so Windows can find it one nanosecond faster (than if it was disabled) when you search for it. Probably the most asinine feature I've heard of in my entire life. Disable that.

This is assuming by spinning up you mean hard disk data grinding. If you literally mean a spinning noise I think it's one of your fans.
