my HD LED light is somehow stuck on, as if the HD is loading, but it's not, when i boot up, it's off, until it has 2 load Windows, then at the User screen, it stays stuck, any thing i can do?

Have you checked all the connections on the mobo and made sure that nothing is loose? I kinda have a similar problem except that my HDD LED never lights up.

yeah, i should've posted this in the HD section, but i havent thought of it at the time. i dont think anything would be loose, i was messing around with my HD, would that've knocked it outta wack? could i take the out of the LED lights? and re-plug it in 2 see if that works?

nevermind, it doesnt clip in, there's just a 2-pin adapter thing, that plugs 2 the front of the case, and a clip comes down, and holds the wire. but i did try 2 reseat the wire 2 the motherboard.

No, the HD LED does not connect to the hard drive, and has nothing to do with it in any way. It only lights up when the motherboard sends data to/recieves from the hard drive.

Are you sure that it is over the right pins?

And please stop using "2" instead of "to" or "too."

im sure, and why cant i use "2"? im sry, you should see my AIM spelling ;).
still, this is a forum, not aim. you have plenty of time to(!!!) type. i never capitalize because it does not affect readibility.

ok, why would you do that? just come from out of no where just to say that. dont make this a big deal.

anyway, im sure it's in the right pins on the mobo? i'll check.

sounds like you should check the connection to the motherboard
if it's plugged into the wrong palce that'd explain why it's always lit, also if it bothers you that much just unplug the friggin thing

You prabally have the plgu is backwards(or the 2 pins in backwards) Just because you have it in the right pins doesn;t mean you have it in the right way. Normally if you have it in backwards it does stay on all the time. Same with a floppy drive.
