HD problem

My bad computers HD only has 10 gb and i havent installed anything but it says that i have 1 gb room left and i have used 9 gb?

Please, what is wrong with my computer?

when you insatall windows on it it takes up room on the HD. what windows do you have on it?

Did it install other programs with the installation of windows.

It wasent this way after the installation of windows but after like 3 weeks it just happend when i mark everything in HD C it says ive used 1 gb but when i press properties at the HD it says ive used 9 gb and have 1 gb left

Do you have a virus? Viruses will take files and add them to your hdd until it fills it, possibly.

format it(the hd) then re-install Windows. It'll probably work.

First of all try running a scandisk your computer may be incorrectly reporting the disk space.

Also make sure you havent been installing lots of stuff like games music etc,check using windows control panel.

btw, why don't you consider upgrading your HD using this "fantastic" chance??? lol
