i have 2 HD 1 the o/s (c) and one a backup (d) my question is drive d sleeps or turns off while not in use and when i want to access drive d it has to spin up before i can open any of my files eg video music, any help
Check the power options settings in the ocntrol panel. That may be the default turn off in 20 minutes there. Here I set everything to never to avoid anything switching into the hibernation mode. But that would be the first place to look there.
