HD space

i heard raid 0 is bad (seen a thread in this forum and lots of people yelled at it becuase theres no memory recovery or something) so you may want to look into that. but for your question im not sure about the size of the hd's u need, i just know that u need 2 identical sata hard drives (i think, but im not very comp smart so i may be wrong) praetor or the mods will clear this up

i wanna get two HD's so i can put them in RAID 0, about how much space would i need on each HD about 80 or what?
It depends on how much space you want. I have 2 80 GB HDDs in RAID0 and its more than enough for me. I also have two large storage drives because I don't trust any important data on the RAID volume.

no, RAID0+1 is a pair of striped HDs mirrored onto another pair of HDs. RAID5 allows for the failure of 1 HD without losing any data (2 dying at the same time and all is lost).
