As most of my threads start... i have 98's that i like to mess with. I managed to put a chip in backwards and screw up the monitor output on the one... so since i wanted to save the stuff stored i took out the HDand put it on another computer... Now the computer i put it on wont start and says please insert system disk... so i figured that wouldent work cus i dont have a system disk... i put the original HDs back in the original computers and it stull says insert system disk... i could care less about the 98's, my question to you now is: I want to format one of those 98's HD's and plug it in my XP while the original XP HD remains in there. Will that screw anything up? and how will the computer deal with the new HD? will it boot fine and have it easily accessable in the my computer folder? i wish...
i want to run linux on the extra HD so i dont encrouch on any of my windows space and still have enough storage to cram linux full of every program available...
