I was wondering is there any difference between a 7200rpm 32 cache HD and a SSD in gameplay as in crisis or L4D. I know a SSD will load the games much faster, but... what about playing the game, is there any noticeable difference between the 2.Any advice would be much appreciated.

A solid state drive is still a very useful device. It will decrease your boot time, it will be more stable, it will be much less likely to fail and lose your data.
General operation is all just much faster.
Even browsing around the web I notice a difference. All those little files your browser is saving and then accessing are going much faster.
As the price on these come down they'll replace platter drives in no time. I admit, they are still in the early stages so the price difference is pretty dramatic.
So if you use your computer for anything else, it still may be worth it.
Also in between load times, game save times, etc. will be noticeably faster with an SSD drive.

SSD wont be worth the price for another 1-2 years. Till you can buy a 250GB for $100 and have all the comforts you have now they are pretty much useless.
Some games will see a boost from a SSD a good example of this is Gothic III as it constantly loads stuff from the Hard Drive. This is rare as its a STUPID thing to build into a game to do.
Boot times is pretty much pointless reason to buy a SSD as most turn on their PC and walk away in the morning and leave it on most the day.
I mean the only worth while SSD to buy with all the features that imo should be mandatory will cost $200+ easily for 80GB which windows 7 and Vista run almost 20GB. Then add in games are 6GB to 15GB in size and you start to notice 80GB wont cut it anymore

Mine was definitely worth it, but no the game loads before playing which means it has nothing to do with any lag (unless at a loading point of course).
