I have a litle problem, I have recently added my other computers HD to my main one via an IDE cable,

But the problem is that if i connect it as an master and try to connect it to my DVD-Rw it will not read the HD. I have now resorted to disconnecting the DVD-Rw and using my network DVD drives to help but this is a pain.

Am I missing something or have I done something n00bish?k

Thanks

Being that you took a drive out of another case to use as the master you would also need to perform a repair install of Windows to see that the correct mother board drivers and software are installed to run on that system. If you simply needed the additional drive space it would better set up as a slave to the first drive already in the case on the primary ide cable. Once you have any important files backed up and even copied to the 1st hd you can delete the current partition. Then create and format a new one. Once it is slaved off of the master on the center connector make sure the SL jumper setting is used. If you still have any trouble seeing the drive move the jumper to the cable select positiion(CS). You can then remaster the dvd drive on the secondary cable.
