hi, I have a external samsung 300GB HDD and its USB 2.0. I have loads of pics and stuff on it. I tried plugging it into the x360 and nothing happened !?. Can it be done so i can view the pics or listen to the music off it via x360 ?

cheers for ya time guys :D

(Maybe not the right forum at ask but one of you guys might know :P )

They should, you just go to the media tab in the control panel and you should be able to play your stuff off the drive. If that doesnt work, I think there is something in the hardware tab that allows you to link with devises.

cool cheers guys but i have just found out that an x360 will not detect it coz the HDD is formatted NTFS and i need to format it to FAT32 ! So i need more help :), Im running winXP and need some software (free) to format my HDD to FAT32. Any ideas ??, cheers again ppl

you should be able to change the file system by plugging it into your pc, right clicking it on my computer, selecting format, then change the File System drop down menu to FAT32

Lee :)
