HDD clicking noise

I have a HP pavillion dv6449us and when it 'wakes up' from sleep mode, I find that it sometimes there is a clicking/whirring noise coming from what i'm assuming is the HDD. This lasts for up to 2 minutes during which the screen freezes.

Now, clearly this isn't healthy, but it's been going on sporadically for about 18 months and i've not had anything else which would suggest to me that the HDD is about to die or anything.

Any idea what could be causing it?

You need to get a new drive cause that could go out at any time. A hard drive clicking at any time is definately not good.
