HDD Compatibility

Ok, So... I am thinking of getting a newer hard drive basically run a Home Entertainment PC out if my desktop (MP3 and DVD play features). My desktop has Sata 1 (1.5 GB/s), but most of the current HDD's are Sata 2 (3 GB/s). So... my main question is.. Is there a jumper setting that I could use to run a Sata 2 drive in the Sata 1 port?

They are backward compatible. If not most drives have a jumper that will force SATA 3.0 to 1.5. On Western Digital it is jumpers 5/6. Samsung its the second set of pins from the right. Seagate is the first 2 pins from the left.
