HDD dissapearing

So, I salvaged a few(2) HDD from an old computer and put them in my current one. I used the biggest one to install Ubuntu on it so I could give it a try. So I understand that this HDD doesn't show up in Windows anymore, that is fine with me.

The question is about the other drive. At first, before any install, I could see it in Windows... But during the process of installing Ubuntu, I was having problems... at some point I chose the small HDD for swap files for Ubuntu, but since then I clicked to reformat it and chose to use only 1 HDD to be dedicated to Ubuntu... The problem is that now this HDD doesn't show up anymore and I'd like to use it as a back for important documents, how can I find it and use it under windows.

Hopefully what I said is clear and someone will be able to help me.
Thanks

Windows by default will not read ext file systems, jfs, rieser, or swap. It sounds like you put your /swap partition on one HDD and your /root and /home on the other, thus only formatting what you selected as swap. Try re-installing Ubuntu on one HDD, maybe?
