hey guys usually im able to figure all this out my self but it seems that i cant for the life of me figure out as to why my 300GB HDD is only coming up as a 127GB HDD

Did it do this when you installed XP or 2000. If its XP then its a older copy that could only see up to a 127-132gb harddrive. If its XP, slipstream SP2 into your XP cd then it will see the whole drive and the next time you install use the Slipstreamed CD and you wont have to fool with it.

actually its Vista Home Premium...i only did the upgrade on O/S because i couldnt find a xp disc to reinstall it and had a vista disc sitting right there at the time...

If the drive was already partitioned at 127gbs then it sounds like vista just installed on a existing partition. You will probable need to delete the existing partition and make one the whole drive size and reinstall. Or go into Disk management and merge the unallocated space to the primary partition.

Right click on my computer and pick manage. From there expand the storage tree (click the + beside it) and then click on disk management. Once you are there, everything should be available from teh right click menu on the drive.
