Replaced my motherboard with the identical model from the manufacturer. The old one died and was replaced by them. Installed it exactly as the old one was. Primary SATA drive, secondary SATA drive, third IDE drive. When I start up the computer it only recognizes the IDE. All cables are exactly connected as before. In the bios it only shows the IDE. On start up it does show two SATA drives and asks if I want to enter raid setup? What should I look for?

Besides making the sata drivers for that board see a fresh install again the user manual for the board will explain which section and settings in the bios will be needed to see the replacement set the same way as before. The sata controllers may not be enabled by default on that model. The hardware sonfiguraion section is where to assign which hard drive will be the default boot device in over the others installed. That would be the host drive where you boot information is located. The bios settings are for choosing between sata array or individual sata masters. The prompt for the RAID setup shows that the factory default is set with the option for an array.

You might just need to reset BIOS back to default or even do a CMOS-clearing.
The manual will provide instructions on bios settings for choosing between setting up an array with two drives, installing a controller card, or simply running each drive as a primary or secondary master on each channel. Many boards simply come with the F key designated at post time to select the option there to set up an array. The bios settings for the onboard controllers are the main concern.

How important is the IDE hard drive? If it isn't needed a whole lot, you might as well disconnect it and not use it. From personal experience, I had a lot of trouble having an IDE and SATA drive coexist, with Windows on the SATA drive. It is possible, but depending on your motherboard, it may be difficult.
I run XP Home on an ide primary, Vista on the second ide, and XP Pro on the first sata here in the multiboot configuration without problems since the third install Vista was needed to add Pro into the mbr after installing it on the sata.
The settings to enable each sata to be seen as a separate logical drive and not an array are in the hardware configuration section. The one problem that did come up was the way the ide controller may override the sata as the default device. Here I simply made the primary ide drive the default boot HD while Vista and Pro were installed to the other drives. The arrangement in a sub section allows you to move one drive above the others on the list there where an ide or sata will be made default on Asus models.
