My comp, new built;
Mb:Asus P8Z77-V-LK
Cpu: Intel i5-3570K 3.40GHz
Psu: Antec 750 Tru Power New
Hdd: Wd 750Gb Cavair Blk
LG DVD burner(GH22NS50)
DVD burner (GH24NS90)
Keyboard:Logitech Wireless K250
Mouise: Logitech Wireless M570
I also have a wired mouse PS/2
and a wired keyboard PS/2
I formatted the hdd before I moved it from my old comp.after installing it in my new I tried installing Win XP/SP2 on the hdd. (Had bios set to boot from cd first)Started to install and then got the error 0x0000007B(0xF78D2524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000) Win has shut down to prevent damage to components.
When I went to the bios I changed the Sata Mode Selection from AHCI to IDE.Tried to install XP again and when it got to the 39min left I get a system error lsass.exe an invalid parameter was passed to a service or function.
and when I went to hit O.k. my mouse had stopped working.(I had the PS/2 wired mouse and wireless K250 hooked up)Had to shut down comp manully.
Switched to wired keyboard and wireless mouse and tried again. same problem happened again got the lsass exe. error. Tried to format the hdd and could not do it with the Win XP disc. borrrowed a Win 7 from friend and started install everything was going fine until it came to where you name the comp and the keyboard won't work.( had wireless keyboard and wired mouse hooked up)
I can't get either Xp or Win7 installed because of either the mouse or keyboard stop working. Have not been able to install the drivers for the Mb cause it says to install OS before installing drivers for Mb. Does antone have any idea how to fix my problem?
Thanks

How can I run a test on the hdd with no OS installed on it? I have a laptop but no means to connect the hdd to the laptop. If I reinstalled it in the old built I still was not able to install a OS on it.
Should I remove Mb and components from the case and try that? Could something be shorting out on the Mb to cause the trouble with mouse, keyboard and hdd?
Really appricate the help.
