HDD partitioning question

ok so my 500 gig hardrive is set into 2 partitions one for normal use the other is labeled data my wuestion is how do i make it all just the usable memory rather then having the partition ?

if your talking about just combining 2 partitions look for Partition Magic (I think that's what's called...) it will let you combine them into 1

the only way to do it with windows is to reformat your hard drive, which gets rid of any data currently on the drives.

my suggestion is to back up all your important data that didn't come on a cd or dvd before you try messing with your HDD's partitions.

This is a data only drive? If you empty the last partition and delete it, you can extend the first one. Using diskpart in xp, and disk management in vista.

If it is OS/data, only vista and its disk management can do it. Or you need a 3rd party tool.
