HDD problem

Hello,
i bought a portable HDD ( IMATION, apollo portable hard drive) but even if i backup the informations of my old PC they dont appear when i reconnect the HDD to my new PC.
How can i send the informations to the new PC?

Are you trying to make it boot up from that hard drive? If so, we will have to clone it.

Yes, i'd like to copy the files and put them on the new PC. How can i do that?

You can use a live CD like GParted to copy all the files from one to the other. However, if this is a portable hard drive, are you just trying to boot with it hooked up through USB? You really need an internal drive.
