HDD Problem

My HDD shows up in POST, but if I go into BIOS, it shows no HDD's. I have tried 3 different HDD's and they all do the same thing. I am trying to load XP onto it. It boots from the CD and goes through setup, but once it reboots, POST says hard drive failure.

Does anyone have any ideas?
 
It's my wife's. I think she got it in 01 or 02. It is only 1ghz. It's a piece of crap but she only uses it for internet.
 
cant transfer files from hdd to hdd

there bolth sata western drives whene i try to move the files i just say callulatin time i have let it seat for like 1 hour and nuthing happens ive tryd it on vista and xp
