HDD Problems

I think there is something wrong with my hard drive. First, my RAID array degraded. This happened after only 1 week of the setup of RAID 1 and it also happened a few weeks ago within 1 week of setting up RAID 0. I went to the RAID setup Utility and deleting my array and when I went to setup a new one, only one drive is showing. Now, I'm trying to reinstall Windows, this time with no RAID. Every time it attempts to boot, it gets hung up on "Detecting IDE drives". After some time it eventually proceeds. When trying to install Windows, it loads the files but gets hung up on the following screen (when the green loading bar). Okay, so is one of my HDDs failing? How can I check? Any other advice or help is much appreciated!

Hi, thanks for the link. I ran the test, but it simply said that I need to update my firmware. So I installed the firmware from the seagate site, but I'm still getting the same message on the test. I ran the Windows version and the test passed.
