HDD question

okay this may be a very stupid question....

i have 2 hd's and i'm going to be replacing motherboard, vid cards and OS.

the one HD that i am installing vista in is going to be wiped and my files that im saving are going to the second hd. Is there going to be a problem when i plug the hard drive with the files to be saved in the fresh build (aka lose any of the files)? I was told that it isn't going to be a problem and all my music and pics shall be safe, but i still have my doubts.

i am currently running 32 bit vista home premium, and im going to install vista 64 bit ultimate, and run sli with 2 9800 gtx+.

thanks for the replies in advance and this is my first post so thanks to all for this great site!

Just make sure you install windows to the empty drive, you might want to leave the one with your files on it not connected to the system until you get windows installed and then connect it.
