well, i partioned my hard drive in my laptop for safety, but now i find that my one partion is too small....is there anyway i can increase the size of one of my partions without having to go through a lot of time of compying programs and stuff?

i have my 100gb hdd into a 15gb and 77gb partions, with the 15 having my OS and programs, but now it is too small.

If you have it formated as a dynamic disk you can resize partitions. You probably don't though :P

You have to either delete the partitions and recreate them both or try a program like partition magic to resize it. Deleting your partition erases all the data on them while resizing would keep it. Resizing doesn't always work though so you should backup your date before trying it.

Could i just switch which partion is the main partion? like if i put all the OS data and stuff on the bigger partion, will it still work?

I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't work, the boot.ini file is easy enough to fix for that but theres so much stuff in the registry and what-not that will probably break if you just copy it. If you could install windows to the other partition it should be fine.
