HDD shopping

So I can't make up my mind (I know shocker :P) but what in your opinion is the most solid 1TB HDD?

Currently I am thinking of buying 2 ST3500418AS as I know this drive is solid as I use one now and my parents both have one and so far 3/3 success....single platter .12 drive so 500GB and as a bonus I can get a free docking station with each one which I could maybe sell and pay for 1 of the hdd :P

Though I am curious if a 1TB is better way to go....Seagate kinda scares me with their 1TB drives....WD seems to have much better reviews. I just don't like HDD crapping out on me.

I also thought of buying from Tigerdirect as I like their packaging on HDDs a lot better and when I ask them they usually go the extra mile to secure it.

I can add a little input. Seagates return process sucks with the way you have to package it. You either have to purchase a kit from them or use i believe rubber to surround the hard drive. With western digital its just a matter of putting it in antistatic bag with a bunch of peanuts and they accept it back. I really don't like western digital drives anymore but I might have to go back to them just for the return process if they do go bad on me. You might want to ask about if seagate has fixed their 1tb drive issue.

I don't usually ever RMA unless its with Newegg within the 30 day mark and above $80 item.
I mean after shipping etc it would have been almost as much to just buy a new one plus they could always say its fine and waste your $$$.

BTW you don't need 3 for RAID0 these suckers are fast enough that 2 will do the job :P These drives are 30-40% faster then my .10 320GB drive.
