HDD vs SSD

With current HDD Prices, would I be better off buying a SSD? I was going to Buy a Spinpoint F3 1TB, but its $160 now!

I have couple older laptop drives I could use as storage.

Well, there is one- Price. I'm just curious if newegg is going to have any good Cyber monday sales.

I doubt it on HHD drives. If they do it will be alittle bit of nothing.

Umm, no. A terabyte is 1000 GB so 120 GB is not 1000. The reason SSDs are expensive is because how fast they are compared to a normal drive.

yeah i figured the SSD-120gb was no where near the 1,000gb, but i see ppl keep preferring them over EHDD's....thanks for the reply, i kinda hi-jacked the thread lol....sorry OP

People would prefer them over an HDD if they weren't so expensive. Most people use them for windows only and have a larger drive for games, music, etc.

...and the issue now is that hard drive prices are insane.

EDIT: Corsair had their Force GT 90GB for $145. It sold out while I was looking through hardware.
