Thx, I was planning on buying a 1080p monitor with an HDMI input :) Does my motherboard need to support HDMI?

Which would you choose?
Also- How do I replace URL links with a single word? I used to know but I havent used it in a while so I forgot. Many thanks!

as long as your video card supports HDMI or you have a DVI to HDMI converter you will be fine. I would go with the ACER monitor, 1920 x 1080 resolution at that price? That's a great deal!

I would go with the first one if you strictly want just a monitor. The second seems like it`s geared to be more like a TV. The first one has better Contrast but the second one is .6`inches bigger and has built in speakers.

K, thx a lot for the help. Any idea if the acer is matte or glossy finish? I went to the acer site but they dont have it on the LCD page :(.

1080p on a 22inch monitor is hardcore and really not worth the upgrade unless you have the extra monezs to spare.

Oh btw a DVI to HDMI convertor has less colour range, and sharpness to it, so if you can try get a video card with an HDMI output and use only that, otherwise you might be dissapointed in your results.
