My g.f. cleaned around my HP desktop, while cleaning she got a pop up that said HDMI connection lost.I checked all the wires,did connected the tower,pushed the re set on the wireless modem,nothing. My Asus monitor doesn't, respond to any buttons but the off and on. I. Also put fresh batteries in the mouse . what else can I try? Thanks in advance.

What does the modem have to do with hdmi? A HDMI (HD Multimedia Interface) connects the PC to the screen. Just check if the cable that connects the PC to the Screen is properly plugged in. Might be a gpu problem, it happened to me 2 times before, I had to plug the card off and on again but, just looking at your signature, I assume you can't do that yourself :lol:.
