HDMI port suddenly stopped working?

Hi all,

For the past month or 2 the HDMI port on my AMD HD 6850 was working perfectly fine until now. It just stopped working. I tried different cables with no luck. DVI still works fine. It doesn't even show the monitor on the HDMI port as an option in control panel. The monitor says that there's input available but when I use that HDMI port it says there's no signal.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the advice but I don't think that'll fix it. The HDMI port always worked before even without the driver (ie on the BIOS screen, when installing windows/Linux, etc)

But I'll give it a try anyway! What's it gonna hurt? :P

NOw that you mention it, it was just the otherday that I installed the latest drivers for my GPU... Does it sound right that the drivers would work just fine for a day or two and then jsut stop?

When I reinstall the drivers, should I reinstall just the display drivers or everything? (ie catalyst control center)

actually that could be it. I've heard things about CCC auto configuring your card. (I could be pulling that out of the air). Uninstall both CCC and the driver then re-install just the driver.
 
I found the issue. All the HDMI cables I tried were all bad.

Words of advice... DON'T EVER GET A RABBIT UNLESS YOU PLAN ON REPLACING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF STUFF.
I've spent literally over $3,000 in replacing cables and other stuff because my mom's rabbit keeps destroying it all. I should make her pay for everything lol

I read where someone had that problem The onboard they in stalled a video card that fixed the problem Have a Great Day Chuck
