Hey all,

I have a Samsung LCD TV and I can hook it up to my ASUS notebook and use it as a monitor and watch movie, etc. no problem.\

However, I recently purchased a 55" Sony Bravia and when I try to do the same the audio skips every few seconds.

Just wondering if anyone knows why that could be

your notebook ant powerfull enough to display all functions on your 55 as its a diffrent scale your spec on your notebook is going to me low.

"Hooking up" is not very specific. If the setups are identical, same HDMI cable to HDMI input, there should be no difference. If one works, the other should.

If you are using VGA and line out audio to the Samsung, not HDMI it's a different story and Dellxps420's comments may apply. I would have thought though that the video was more likely to be an issue.

Assuming that the HDMI leads are about the same length, so that is not an issue, check the audio and video settings in the TV.

On page 46 of the pdf for the TV there are PC output settings for VGA through HDMI. Are you exceeding the capabilities of the notebook by trying to drive at 1920x1080? Just because the notebook has HDMI output does not necessarily mean it can drive at full HD. What output resolution did you use for the Samsung? Is there anything else that is different in the two setups?
