hdtv and lcd?

what's better, lcd or hdtv?

Also, how can I hook up my computer to my t.v?

Also, how do I know if my t.v is lcd or hdtv? I got it as a gift so i'm not sure.

LCD is a type of display, where as HDTV is basically the quality of the picture (high def vs standard def).

You can connect your PC to your TV usually using composite, S-Video, VGA, DVI, or HDMI. The connections will vary based on your TV and video card.

LCD and Plasma TV's are thin and somewhat light, vs tube TV's and projectors. If your TV is less then 4-5", it's most likely an LCD or Plasma.
 
Yeah It's a flat screen. like 2-3 inches i'd say.
So what do you mean by display? like design? Does tht mean I can ahve a t.v that's lcd AND hdtv?
 
An HDTV is basically just a display with a TV tuner built in. Many different technologies are used for displays such as LCD, plasma, DLP, or CRT. Most HDTV's are one of the first three.
 
So how do I know if my t.v is hdtv and how do I know which display it is?
It's Aquos. So I believe it's hdtv/lcd am I correct?
 
Pretty much any computer monitor and LCD TV can be considered an HD, as their resolution far surpasses that of your normal SDTV.

LCD's are still going strong, Plasma's are it's competitor. Both are great, but OLED TV's are better than either, they cost alot more though.

Capable of 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 0.01 response times (slated to replace the VRR sooner or later), More energy efficient, they require no polarizers which control the wavelength of light, potentially cheaper than LCD and Plasma, etc, etc.
