Headset Not Working

I bought a headset for my computer an I am having trouble with it. It has two cables, a headphone and a mic. the headphone part works fine but the mic. doesn't work (On that computer, I tryed it on another computer and they worked perfectly) I turned on the mic. on the volume control, reinstalled the sound card driver, checked the record input, and have tested it several times with "Sound Recorder". I have no idea and would appreciate any help.

The only problem I can think of here, is a problem with the CONNECTION of your microphone to your sound card, I recently had a problem with my PS/2 of my computer, turns out all the pins broke :mad: but still.

I think it sounds like you may have a fault try a different mic in there and see what happens, if you get the same result, it's most likely a microphone error
 
what headset you got. it could have a little remote control thing half way along the wire, this sumtimes has a mute mic switch, if so chekc that is off.

also i suggest double checking options!
