heat sink fan from cely

It's not so much the CPU as it is the socket of the CPU. If the P4 is also a socket 478 then heat sink should fit just fine.

lol its an intel, so it should come with an intel heatsink, yea

Unless it is an OEM processor.

I wouldn't recommend using your Celery cooler for your P4, as the P4 probably will run hotter and will need a better cooler.

Are the coolers that come witht he Celey and the P4 different?

They might be identical, and they might be very different. It all depends on if Intel decided to include a better cooler with a P4 then a Celeron because of heat output.

It should work, as they're both designed for socket 478 boards, but the P4 produces alot more heat than the celeron, so I would get a P4 rated heatsink, or an aftermarket one.

No the new p4 will not come with heat sink/fan. Will have to get that at extra cost.

The heat sink fan on my cely is stock, would it get me by temporary on the p4?

It will. The processor will just throttle if the cooler isn't good enough.

Yes, if its starts to get warm, underclock

okay but my computer is locked, or can I underclock it anyways? Can you point me into the right direction to underclock?

and Jet,

what do you mean by throttle?

they recognise they are running too hot and autmatically underclock.

It will slow down its frequency. I forget which program I was using, but it showed temperature and % of throttling. My Pentium D throttles at around 80C.

But mine doesn't throttle until 80C or so... It may just be that your processor isn't getting hot enough?
