Heat sink replacement

I'd like to replace some parts on my Compaq SR1150NX to get it a little cooler. It shows I was running 62*C most of the time. I have used Arctic Silver 5 on it and the temps dropped to 54*C right now. BTW these are idle temps. I'd like to replace the heat sink and fan but I have no clue what socket I have. On the front of the case it says AMD XP 3200+. The motherboard is an Asus and the number on it is A7V8X-LA. The fan on the CPU heat sink seems very very wimpy and isn't putting out any air at all. I was looking on Newegg, but I have no clue what to buy.

if the sticker is correct you probably have socket A. However best to check that. Down load cpu-z which will tell you what cpu you have

take a look at this one, it would be compatible with your system and look at the price, CHEAP!!!
