Heat Testing.

Could anybody send me the link of some software which will tell me the temperatures of my computer? I just put together a new build and before I ship it off, I'd like to make sure it's not going to overheat just under normal circumstances.

Also, in addition to that program, is there another program that will do a bunch of mindless, redundant crap which will put my system 'under load' so that I can use the first program to test the temperature under working conditions?

If this is for your FX-60 build, get yourself PC Wizard 2006 (tells you temps of both cores), and Orthos to get both cores running at 100% for maximum heat.
 
Almightone, thanks. I went with yours instead because of the Dual-Core support.

Now, my next question is...are my temperatures normal? I took 4 screenshots. 2 of them were in Celcius degrees at rest, and under load. The other 2 are under Fheirenhiet (sp?) resting and under load.

That is perfectly normal. Gee your idle temperature is lower than mine. :( My idle temperature is 48 degrees Celsius and in shoots up to 60 under load.
 
Okay, great. That's really good to know. I'm still waiting on 2 120mm fans that were put on back-order, and then I will ship the computer off. Right now, I just leave both of the side case doors off to reduce the risk of overheating. Once I get those fans in (one drawing air in, one blowing it out) and the case fans back on, how much more of a difference do you think my speeds will be?

What do you mean by speeds? And anyway, even with really bad ventilation its really hard to overheat a CPU these days with so many protective measures. I tried to run a CPU with NO HEATSINK OR FAN to see what happens, and half way during the boot screen the whole system shuts down, the motherboards overheat protection system at work. ;) So anything short of disabling that system, you will be ABSOLUTELY fine, you don't have to leave the case opened.
 
I'm sorry. Up there, by 'speeds', I meant by CPU temperatures. It's just my brain getting ahead of me. :D

Well, as far as no fans go, I'm kind of worried about that. I built an Intel Celeron D computer (single core 3.2Ghz) for my family in my early building days. I didn't have any case fans, only the CPU fan. About 2 days later, we kept smelling this burning. It turns out, that the USB Cables, PS Cables, Reset Cables, Firewire Cables, etc, had all MELTED to the metal plating of the case because it got too hot.

I'm not about to let that happen to a $2,000 computer.
 
LOL, that is the first time I have heard that happen, the rubber on those wires can withstand alot, like up to 70-90 degrees and I can assure you that it the metal on your case will not get up to that high under normal circumstances. Well if you want you can always have a temperature probe in there to monitor the temperatures. I have a cooldrive 4 at the moment.
 
I think I'll wait for the Case fans at this point. But anyway, thanks for your help on the CPU itself. I'm not sure what normal temperatures are, so it's nice to know that someone can help me out.
