Heavy Modding Project

Hey Guys and Gals,
I am planning to start my heaviest mods to my eMachines ET1810-01 Desktop.
I am not going to call it a "build" because that would mean making the computer out of all scratch material. Anyway, i need opinions. Currently, my Desktop has the following:
Mobo: http://www.e4allupgraders.info/dir1/motherboards/socket775/ecsMCP73VT-PM.shtml
CPU: Intel Celeron Dual Core? Runs @ 2.0 GHz :S
PSU: Not certain of what brand, but it supports 250w max, which is nothing.I do know it is an ATX.
RAM: 2GB (1 X 1GB DDR2 800)
Hard Drives: 160GB 3GB/s SATA

I am planning to take ALL of this out, and replace it with:
Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ..._re=motherboards_intel-_-13-131-356-_-Product
CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...intel_core_2_duo_e7500-_-19-115-056-_-Product
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...=400_watt_power_supply-_-17-104-035-_-Product
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...31055&cm_re=2_2gb_ddr2-_-20-231-055-_-Product
Hard Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...m_re=1.5_tb_hard_drive-_-22-136-495-_-Product

Those parts you want to upgrade to are too old and wouldn't give you good performance, there are other CPUs which will give you better performance.
BTW is you budget 500$?

I like it! All i need is a case to go with all of this. I have loads of SATA cables, so i'm good on that. All i have to figure out is what cables i have. But what case size i should get, and where i should get my case :Newegg or xoxide.com.

I don't know much about xoxide, I would recommend newegg.
A full tower is always good, but a mid tower is good enough.
BTW if you are looking to spend 900$ then u can build a new one from scratch, then you will have two desktops.

g3n1us, the motherboard suggested, has no onboard video. unless you have a PCI e video card, yu will not be able to use the computer. you'll need either a H67 chipset on motherboard which has integrated graphics, or you will need to get a graphics card. since your not playing games then id suggest an H67 motherboard as it will save you money that you can put toward a ssd drive and such.
