Hello everybody. My name is Matthew Dasher, and I work for Ted Dasher Data Systems, in Birmingham, AL. We just became a sponsor for this site, and I wanted to greet everyone. NOTE: I will NOT be throwing threads like this in these forums more than this one time, just so I can get noticed. Look for monthly specials in the For Sale Forum.

We are a Hewlett-Packard Platinum Level Channel Partner, selling new and used HP products (PCs, notebooks, printers, servers, storage, handhelds, and all other HP products) at affordable prices. For example, our consumables (ink and toner, etc.) are priced below CDW's pricing. All our other products are also at very affordable prices, especially the used equipment, which is all tested and cleaned to as-new appearance. Even used equipment comes with a warranty.

We are currently working on the online shopping cart, so if anybody has anything they are looking for, feel free to PM me or EMail me directly (look to sig). The chances are, we have an affordable solution for you.

We have a variety of desktops, ranging from at-home models to upscale, top-of-the-line performance Workstations (example: xw8200 workstation: Xeon Processor (2MB L2 Cache, 3.6 GHz, 800MHz), XP Pro, 2GB 400MHz DDR2 ECC memory, 160GB SATA/300 SMART III HDD, 16x DVD+/-RW dual layer w/ LightScribe technology, and 3 year warranty. The normal price on this box is $3429, but as a SmartBuy right now, we have it for $2499)

HP now has a very large variety of notebooks for all applications, including video-rich needs (the zd8000 has 256MB dedicated video memory and comes with a processor of up to 2.8GHz), Tablet PCs (very portable, and useful in engineering applications. Has built-in wireless, bluetooth capable), and some of the newer model notebooks come with biometrics (fingerprint passwords). These are just a few examples of the many solutions we can offer.

One other product of interest that we just started selling are IP-addressed security cameras. Each has its own IP address and decoder, so whoever has the access rights and address can view the video from anywhere in the world (there are security measures, of course). The cameras come with a variety of options such as mounting (recessed, pole-mounted, etc.), lenses (stationary and varifocal for zooming), and many more. The data is stored digitally on a HDD or a DVR, and recording options are as follows. The FPS (Frames per second) can be adjusted to save on storage space. Also, each camera can have up to 3 areas that screen for motion, and if any of the areas trip for motion, recording begins. The recordings have tabs dividing the motion trips/other sensors one can hook up. So, say for one day, 150 motion trips are recorded, whoever is looking to see the activity can scroll to each tab individually. This system is great for business owners to keep an eye on their business from out of town. Other uses could include daycare/veterinary offices. They can 'rent' out access to the clients' children/pets for piece of mind of the customer and a profit for the company.

Well, that is all for now. As I said, if you have any wants, needs, or requests, PM me or EMail me, and I will be happy to help you find the best solution for you!

Excuse me?

Well, I talked to Ian. He was basically the first person that I saw who had priviledges and he told me it costs $70/month to become a site sponsor. Well, I payed the costs, he put a link to our website above, and that's the story. If there is something wrong with this situation, let me know, because as far as I know, we did things by the book. My intentions were not to offend anybody or anything of the sort. My intentions should be clear, considering I payed for the sponsorship, and if something is in the wrong, let me know. I will do what I can to remedy the situation

I had meant to say something on this to the mods/admins, but was for short for time this morning. I would like to confirm that HP_TDI is a site sponsor, and as part of the site sponsorship will be posting threads in the Computer Equipment for sale section from time to time.
I would like to thank dasher.com for sponsoring computerforum.com As this site grows, so too do the expenses associated with keeping the site running, and being a free forum community, sponsors do help keep this place afloat.

OK, thank you everybody. I knew there had to have been a miscommunication somewhere. I meant no negativity by my thread, I was just greeting everyone. I apologize if I went to the wrong channel or something, but am glad everything has worked out.

I should be posting my first FS thread in the next few days when I figure out something to put a special price for members of this forum
