i have a Toshiba Sattellite Pro 480CDT , i have the Hard Drive right next to me , but i have no clue what so ever where to start taking the laptob appart to put the HD in ?

So...I assume the old drive is bad or your upgrading? I'd have to see the laptop as there is no standard to how laptops are made, but many are beginning to have hard drive trays. Sometimes they are accessable on the sides, sometimes on the bottom. I've seen some where you had to simply remove the keyboard to access the drive, I've seen other where you had to rip the whole laptop apart...
