Hello! Just made an account on this forum cause I heard it provides great assistance to those seeking help with computer projects, nice to meet you all! Recently my computer started acting up and I have came to the conclusion the power supply was going out, so I'm thinking its time to upgrade a little. Here's my current set up

Operating System
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1

CPU
AMD FX-62
Zambezi 32nm Technology

RAM
8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 669MHz

Motherboard
ASUSTeK Computer INC. M5A78L-M LX PLUS (AM3R2)

Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650

Hard Drives
932GB WL1000GSA3272C ATA Device (SATA)
373GB Hitachi HDT725040VLA360 ATA Device (SATA)

Optical Drives
ATAPI DVD A DH16AASH ATA Device

Case
(Really crappy unknown case, cause of overheating sometimes I believe)

With that said, here is what I am going to buy to upgrade, Just to spruce things up a bit.

Its all around 600$ I need to stay under that budget I cant go a penny higher sadly.

What I am aiming for is to correct some current problems in my computer, way more importantly all I need is to make sure the parts work together, like the mother board will fit in the case, and my current CPU will fit into the motherboard. I just feel when I buy new parts I miss a small detail that could hurt my project, this time I want to try not to make mistakes... To any one who helps me out, I greatly appreciate it :)

Don't even think about getting that Appevia power supply, they are junk. Get this one. It's on sale and its modular.

And your current processor will not work in the motherboard.

Really? maybe that's a good save, will that power supply be able to work well with what I'm going to be using? also whats bad about Appevia's, what makes them bad?

and why keep the video card? mine is not really as strong as it used to be, will the processor make it work better with what I have?

Just so you know, I edited my last post. I added information.

A good 900 watt unit will run you almost double the price of the apevia. You don't need 900 watts to run your setup. A good 600 watt unit will suffice and still have headroom. You have to know the difference between a good and bad unit. The power supply is the backbones of your system, never skimp on quality.

True, I also added a question about the processor in my last post, id really like to increase the graphics, unless the processor will make a bigger difference. As for the power supply ill change to what you recommended, it also looks much better then what I was gonna buy, I am glad I came to this forum.

The problem you have is your current fx62 processor will not work in the new motherboard, you will need to get a new processor. If you say you can't go over $600 then you have to do without something until you can afford it.

So right now with cpu, motherboard, psu, case, and video card, you are at $730.
