Some 1 Help Please

If you have a broadband modem thing which sits outside the computer, and connects to the computer via usb port. Do you need a modem inside that it fits to or not?
Becuase I am buying a new computer and keeping my wanadoo broadband speedtouch thing, but the new computer does not come with an internal modem. Is this ok?

well i think ur on about a router !!, if so NO just plug the usb from the ROUTER into the pc and install any software !! that is it !

No you don't need a Internal modem. Just the USB ADSL (Broadband Modem)

Software:
You need a Firewall,
Anti-virus (AVG Free Recommended)
Ad-aware SE
Anti-spyware.
 
Cheers, so the router is the spaceship looking thing which sits outside the comp and plugs into usb. (spaceship maybe overstatement)

You only need a router if you have/going to have a network. Otherwise just plug the modem into the computer, install the drivers, and your set
 
try not to confuse him plz router/modem/spaceship = no internal modem needed :)

WANADOO one is a modem

BT call them ADSL routers, not sure y ??
 
You just need the speedtouch modem, as many ther people have said. this is not a router it is a MODEM, which means you don;t need an internal one, ou just install the software that came with it when you got broadband
