Stuck in a sticky situation! Not sure which build to choose

I will mainly be using my computer for: Internet / Games / Movies / Word Processor

I have found 2 different builds that was recommended to people in the $700-800 range. I have Just over 800 to drop on a new beast.

Not sure which build to choose, what will be the main differences of both?

Let me know what you guys think, thanks. :)

I'd have to say the second one would win in my opinion as well. You get more graphics muscle in the second one. The AMD proc. is quite comparable to the i5, so no real difference there (point out if I'm wrong). Pretty good build there.

*EDIT* - Haha, upon further investigation I would go with the first. (I'm flip flopping just like John Kerry :D ) The CPU/Mobo combo gives a good option for upgrades down the road, due to the multi socket mobo. Like stated, the graphics cards are the same pretty much aside from better cooling in the second one, maybe use the second GPU in the first build?

id say the second one, the gpu has better cooling and i like the higher clock speed on the phenom but from what i read the core i5 does still perform better but only buy a very small amount

I dont want to push you in the wrong dir but will offer some input.

I just built an i5 with the same MOBO. If you have a Microcenter close by consider them also but the sale prices on the i5 are over, however, still less than your link. The MOBO is low on features but worked great for my first build. Your DDR3 1600 is not supported and will clock back to 1056 or whatever. I returned it for 1333 which is supported.

My certified OCZ 700 PS was $60 (from + $100) after rebate and my Gigabyte case was $35 saving money over your setup. Just FYI.

I go with the first one as you get better CPU and at the same time you get the same GPU as the second one
