Hey everyone!!!
I hope Im posting in the right place!!
First I want to say thank you for taking the time to view this and help!!!
Heres my problem.
I have KA3MVP EXTREME WITH CROSSFIRE (ATI) xpress 3200 with a amd athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 6400+ 3.20ghz
I Have never o/c this board in anyway!!!

The computer has always had a delayed start when I push the power button(I push the power button and It would take 10 sec before booting to bios !!
But Last night I got a new video card (XFX HD-583X-ZAFV Radeon HD 5830 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity)..

After I installed the card I tryed to turn on my pc (Everything came on(Fans Lights) like normal but never heard a beep and the screen never came on)
I then reinstalled the old card to make sure It wasnt a problem with the board and everything was fine....

I put the new card back and and reset the bios with the lil jumper on the board...And then boom everything came back on (The board beeped and the screen lite up)
Everything loaded perfect NO PROBLEMS....
The problem Im having now is everytime I (RESTART) OR Power on I have to use the jumper on the board and reset the bios then everything works perfect...

Iv tryed going into the bios and loading performance settings and optimize settings but the same thing steel happens...

Any Ideas on why this is happening....
The only thing I can think would cause a problem is my power supply (Its only 350wats) And the card need 450 I BELIEVE???

Iv been playing games with out any problems!!!
I have NOT shut the computer down in almost a day soo there doesnt seem to be a problem with my os!!!
The only problem seems to be on turn on or restart!!!
WTF IS GOING ON???

Thanks GOD BLESS!!!

It could be possible the cmos battery needs to be replaced. I could be wrong so wait for other input.

Don't worry about the startup delay. On my machine, it can take that long for the bios splash screen to show up as well. So I wouldn't be too alarmed about that.

Do you ever get this error message when booting up:
"Error CMOS checksum invalid
Press del to enter setup, F1 to load defaults"

CMOS batteries aren't expensive, so you don't have much to lose by buying one and replacing it.

I really don't think that the issue is with the cmos battery. if he resets the cmos and doesn't actually change any settings and has to reset it again then its not the battery. Most likely either a hardware issue with the video card, psu not supplying enough power or bad motherboard. If it takes more than 10 seconds for you to here a post beep I would be concerned about that.

I'd think his mobo is fine, considering it works fine with the old card...

You will get that message when you reset the bios. Like i said before, I doubt very seriously that this issue is battery related.

Have you got a 4 pin molex power connector plugged into the connector next to the first PCIe slot. Its to supply extra wattage for the PCIe slots.

Hey Thanks Everyone for yalls help....Soo far I havent been able to figure out what is going on...
I just got a EVGA nforce 780i SLI Motherboard.
it comes with 4 GB of OCZ DDR2 PC2-9200 Memory and a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Processor...
Im hoping this setup will be a lil faster then the one i got now???

I need to get a heatsink for the board and thats it!!!
Once I got everything I need I will install my video card to this board and see what happens...
If anyone comes up with any more ideas let me know!!!Thanks God bless
