So I bought my computer in 2009. I have never custom built my computer or anything. So I am completely 100% newbie. So my computer cooling fan broke down. I threw it away and bought a new one. I read online my computer uses 4 pin. So I just bought a 4 pin fan.

So I bought this computer fan. I kind of gambled on this.

And well it seems my computer uses some old stuff. So I cannot connect the fan to the computer. Can you guys point me out to some adapters. I do not wanna buy wrong again. So this time I ask the professionals to help me out. Below you can see what my old fan was connected to. My computer is 8 years old and it is still working perfectly. I clean dust every 4-5 months so it lives. Just need new fan or fan adapters.

Are we talking about a rear or front case fan? What is that connector under your hand?

I'm assuming you'll need something like this.

The connector under my hand is where the old fan was connected to. Rear case because I do not have fans in front case. That thing I am holding leads to power supply and the old fan was connected to that thing.

Just a question. Do they still sell fans with 4 pin molex connector? If they do. Could you point out some of them? Cause I have a hard time finding them.
