so i had a build going but i guess the combo deal for it is no longer available so give me some recomendations? it will be used for gaming and everyday stuff. budget of around 700 i dont need monitor, case, keyboard or mouse

The total is 794 + Shipping, but you have 80 bucks in rebates, making it 714 + shipping. if need be you can always get slightly worse items, like less RAM. oh, did you need an OS?
 
oscar, he didn't need a case :P we have basically the same build!

his build is cheaper than mine. here are the main differences: brands. other that that, i listed a 250GB HDD, and a thermaltake PSU. Rosewill is kinda crap. I have one of their prducts and hate it.

You could ditch the case (since your already have one), get a better PSU, and if you have enough money, a bigger hard drive.

i was looking for a better harddrive and psu got any ideas?
 
you dont need more than 600W. and how big do you want the hard drive? any bigger taht 250 and you will have to cut on the other items. like a cheaper video card less ram etc
 
Benchmarks show that the 4850 comes out on top most of the time ;)

Got this too: "HD4850≈9800GTX>9800GT=8800GT" :)

Look into the OCZ GameXStream 700W?
 
okay well comparing on newegg it shows the 9800GT having a higher core clock speed at 650MHz compared to 625MHz but the 4850 has a higher stream processors at 800 units compared to 112
 
Wait, never mind gpureview. go to www.tomshardware.com then go to charts then for the latest video cards, and compare the 9800Gt to the 4850. which ever one has higher fps' is better. can't view the #@$&(%&@(%&#@ site because of the )#(*@#)(* filters at the library! soon im gonna hack into them so that the filter stays OFF! (i didnt say that)
