Help Asus G73JW power supply

Hey, I recently bought an asus g73jw, The power supply died on me today so i went to a local computer store to get a replacement. The guy at the store sold me this: http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6626

He assured me that it was fit to my computer and would not cause problems... Although it is tiny in comparison to the Asus power supply i have: http://www.ebuylaptopbatteries.com/...-power-supply-charger-ac-adapter-p-11242.html (This is not the exact one i have but very similar)

Now when i have the new adapter plugged in I get the "AC Mode" Flashing on and off constantly and cant maintain a charge... Will this new adapter damage my system with further use? I payed big bucks for this laptop and dont want to damage it.

Sounds like the new power supply isn't outputting enough amps to power the laptop and charge the battery at the same time. I would recommend a power supple specifically for that series of laptop, or a genuine power supply. Third party power supplies are available for cheap on eBay.
