Help!! Basic question about modems

This may seem like a very basic question to some of you, but I dont have a huge amount of knowledge of computers.

I am about to buy a pc which is an excellent deal which ends tomorow! Theres 1 problem..there is no modem!

However...I am on mobile broadband and Im convinced you only need a modem for dial up right?

None of my friends seem to know

No matter the connection, FiOS, Cable, DSL, or Dial-up, they all connect through a modem. It won't have the dial-up modem, but it should have a LAN connection on the motherboard.

I dont think you need to worry so long as you have a place to connect your internet how do you connect ethernet cord?? if so dont worry about it

yup, and if it doesn't have one you can always add one. They are not to pricy.
