Bought a brand new Vista laptop. Everytime I try to connect to my network it says "Wrong Network Key" The network key is 100% right and is being used on my other XP Laptop. I have spent 5 days trying to sort it out and Im getting nowhere. Ive tried changing the network key in my modem ad it still says "Wrong Network Key" It seems I have wasted £400 on a Laptop which is complete rubbish (or more like VISTA!!)

I was given this to see if it helped - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935222/en-us

Downloaded it and it made no difference.

The Laptop is now connecting ONLY if I turn WPA off. Obviously I cant run it like that. As soon as I turn WPA on again at the modem, it disconnects and says "Wrong Network Key". AAAARGHHH

Help urgently needed before I smash it up.:(

Sorted!

Problem solved.

I purchased a new modem today. Took 2 mins to set up. Activated WPA again with network key. Laptop logged straight onto it no problems whatsoever. It seems then that my other modem was not Vista compatible (even though its only 8 months old).

Therefore do not ever touch a Cable & Wireless ADSLR10CW3 Modem/Router. I have read very bad reviews on this item on the internet and none to do with my problem, so thats one more to add to the list.

The modem purchased today is a Buffalo WBMR-G54 ADSL+2 Wireless-G Broadband Modem/Router. I highly recommend it.

Thanks for your help.
