Hey,
I recently bought a new computer, well choose all the parts myself ect... Pretty much ever since i have had it which might be a month now I have been getting the bsod randomly. I now it is not over heating, the screen goes to fast to actually read the error, but in the system log there are 2 critical errors that keep reappearing if that helps they are:

The device, \Device\Ide\IdePort0, did not respond within the timeout period.

An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\D during a paging operation.

My Computer specs are as follows:
Intel E6600, Gigabyte 965P-DS3P, 2GB DDRII ram, Samsung 400GB, PX8800GTS Leadtek, Cooler master 550w.

also when it does restart, it won't start back up it sais:
Invalid system disk
Replace the disk, and then press any key

I have to turn it off at the psu and turn it back on to start windows back up

Pretty basic thing.

Check your IDE Cable is actually plugged in good.

Remove, Replace.

If no good,

Do a Repair using your Microsoft Install Disk,

from wat i can tell it is plugged in good, and i have tried repairing before and it didn't do a thing. Also how would that affect it being able to start up windows after showing the bsod.

Ok,

Its the cable, thats about 1.5Inch's Thick that runs from your motheboard too the back of your hard drive

Check both Connections

I know when my Sata ports come loose, it causes all kind of hell.

Remove the Sata Cables, Follow the one that goes back too your motherboard, not your Power supply one.

Remove the one off the Motherboard, Blow it off, And Replace pretty firmly (never force it)

And plug it back into the hard drive and try again.
