Thank you for your help.

I am building this with help from azwebs. I wanted to buy it tonight if some of you can tell me it is ok or what is wrong with it.

Thank you.

If it helps i already have a 22 inch screen and a vista ultimate 64 bit dvd. my friend is giving me some of his spare sata cables too. i dont think anything else is missing?

I see that you have a lot of case-mod parts on there which is cool but i'd be careful trying to install that stuff before you get some experience building.

The only other problem I have with it is that your hardware set is ruined by Windows Vista. :(

Looks good, although I don't think you really need a 1000W PSU. 700W would be more than enough, even for SLi. Windows Vista will not ruin the hardware.

PabloTeks's recommendations are solid.

I'd still go for the Corsair, if you have only 1 9800GTX (and you only really need one) you don't need a PSU with huge watts, plus the Corsair pumps out power where it's needed most, that PSU you mentioned probably has some strange ratings.

EDIT: SLi just isn't worth it now, many games don't utilise it properly to justify a 200% spending for only 130% of the performance.

I'm unfamiliar with the Arctic Power brand. If you're looking for something with a lot of power and modular, this would be a good unit. It's a bit cheaper than some of the Antec, Corsair and Cooler Master units in that range, and it would probably look good in the 900.

Arctic Power is a brand of HEC, the 950w only puts out 40 amps on the 12v rails (which is what is the most important consideration for high-end systems) which is exactly the same as the Corsair...

I checked that and couldn't find much. I checked the manufacturer code on newegg and found this.

I see it has 4 pci-e 6 pin connectors, but it doesn't say if it comes with the bits to convert them to 8 pin connectors. Does anyone know where i could buy those from?

I would take that Corsair 750W TX - it has won a few awards on different websites

Thanks. Do you know which websites they are, because i really like the look of that psu and i have been reading some good reviews. It also seems like loads of people here are recommending them.

Yes, they are all retail that I looked at because i heard that some OEM's came without heatsinks or fans? I don't know if that's right, but it's what i heard and I didn't want to risk it.

Does anyone know if the 9800gtx+ comes with one of those 6 pin pci-e to 8 pin pci-e adaptors?

Thanks very much for all your help so far.

Also, if I did get a corsair tx750w one, would that let me do sli with two 9800gtx+ like i wanted to do in a few months? I wanted to get a bit more performance on some stuff like crysis, and I was just gonna take one out for older games like counterstrike if there were any problems.

Sorry for all the questions but I want to make sure of everything before I buy. I was going to use friends' advice and this thread by [-OMEGA-] to help me put the pc together:

What do you think? And thanks.
