ok so basically this is gonna be my first build im not a nub when it comes to pc parts, etc. But i have never built my own pc i have upgraded etc. So basically i need opinions on if the case, mobo, cpu, memory, and power supply are good for gaming. I already have a 8800 gts super clocked so i do not need a video card i might just buy another later and put it in sli mode. Also fans and neons will come later workin on the base right now. Please leave me with some ideas. If you have other ideas i would like for the cpu to be intel just becuase ive had good expireince with oc'ing. Thnks for any help!!!

1. I wouldnt buy that kit with the mobo/ram/CPU, the mobo isnt really all that great and the RAM isnt the best you could get for the price either. buy them seperatly ;)

2. you DONT need a 1000WATT PSU, for that you only need maybe a 500-600 WATT.

Just my .02 :)

looks good but 1000W i don't think you will need it...... as MBgraphics said 600W will be fine.

Other wise good from my point of view

Yep, 1000W for the power supply is WAY overkill for what you're gonna be using it for. Also what kind of 8800GTS do you have? the G80 (320/640MB) or the G92 (512MB)?

sounds good

I dont really think 1000w PSU is a bad thing. That is a HUGE case your getting, with lots of room for future upgrades and suck. Maybe you want to get the uber graphics cards in sli one day, or add lots of gadgets.

Least with 1000w of power you wont need to buy another in the near future even if you do alot of upgrading. That was my first choice of Case, but the shipping as alot cheaper on the aluminum stacker i bought. That and the tiny flappy doors piss me off. :(

Dont listen to Mezzeron about the PSU...Simply DONT get it, you will never need it unless you SLI GTX 280's and run a quad core an a ton of HDDs, otherwise, it's a complete waste.

As I said before, a 600WATT will do you just fine. ;)

I personally agree with Mezzeron. Upgrades are essential. if your never in the history of your computers lifetime gonna upgrade listen to MBGraphics. if not Mezzeron is completely right.

Thank you!!

Why is it the new people always think they know best?:P

I am not new. I have been doing this for years. Just havent been a part of this forum for a while only a year. and i only have half as much post as you. I was just saying if he wants future upgrades then do it. whats the point of upgrading the computer a year from now. powering two extreme graphic cards. but then you gotta upgrade the psu because he bought a 750. thats why i said if he never wants to upgrade then do what you said. if not get the 1000W

But my point is, even then he wont NEED 1000WATTS!!
Look at OMEGA, he's powering a 4870X2, Q9550, 2 extremly power hungry components with just a 750W PSU without any problems.

Thank You for help!!

thnks for all the replys so psu might be out the window and save me $200 because i already have a orion 630 watt psu which runs my 8800 gts fine but i was wondering if it will run 2 or even 3 if i get new cards alltogether. BTW my graphics card is the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS overclocked. IT was overclocked from the factory but i overclocked even higher with rivatuner and upped the fan speed.

Specs:

Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS

Core Clock: 656 Mhz

Shader Clock: 1537 Mhz

Memory Clock: 1007 Mhz
