Help buying a Laptop - UK

Hi all,

Looking for the best laptop for gaming with a very tight budget.

The max I can spend is £500. It will be used for gaming, watching movies and surfing the net. I don't need uber power just something for gaming on the go. I'm not daft I know that the budget is asking a lot but any help is greatly appreciated.

I am willing to buy second hand and do my have preference on brand etc. so long as it plays new games relatively well I'm not bothered of the specifics.

So yeah, hit me with suggestions.


(Please don't tell me to get a desktop, I have one. I also can not add more to the budget)

£500 as you said is an extremely tight budget for a "gaming laptop" but it is possible to just get by.

I think this is the best your going to get for the £500 region,Slightly over by £49 but..

Can hit the minimum specifications of almost every single game out, only exceptions I've found is Planetside 2. It can easily run games like Battlefield 3, Civ 5, XCOM Enemy Unknown and Bioshock at high settings at 60FPS. I can also play War Thunder on high settings whilst streaming on Twitch whilst still getting around 40-50FPS.
