Help buying a laptop

The Lenovo, I didn't even look at the Acer. Acer has a bad reputation for building poor quality machines.

The one thats carried at memory express in my city has an i5-3230m with SLI dual GT650m graphics cards. However, one that is $20 more on the Lenovo website has an i7-3630Qm processor with a GT750m graphics card

Which is better???
 
Good question, the 750m is slightly more powerful then a 650m, but dual 650m would be much more powerful then a single 750m. Now the other question to ask your self though is how many games do you play requiring a quad core cpu? I have seen a few on steam that recommend a quad core for gaming.
 
none that I can think of, but its more a decision of future proofing since the ps4 and Xbox one will have a quad core cpu, more games will be made for that type of cpu, I would just go with the dual 650 model and upgrade the cpu later, but I cant do that because its a laptop
 
Your right, these is no way to easily upgrade CPU's, personally I would go for the i7 with the 750 GT, but that is just me.
